- LOK SABHA PASSED A BILL ON WEDNESDAY TO PROTECT THE SLUMS
A bill was passed by the Lok Sabha on wednesday on protecting slums and unauthorised colonies in Delhi from the punitive action. The bill provides that no action will be taken by any local authority till December 31.
- GOVERNMENT TRIMMED THE INTEREST RATES ON SMALL SAVING SCHEMES
The government cut the interest on small savings plans such as National Savings Certificate (NSC) and Public Provident Fund (PPF) by 20 points but spared the citizens.
